Our Story

Four generations of women in my family- my great-grandmother,
my grandmother, my mother, and me! Yes, that's 3-year-old me
with the braids.

This photo captures the very essence and story behind the brand, "Don't play the game, be the game-changer." My great-grandmother, an Italian immigrant, tragically lost her mother during childbirth. She endured a challenging childhood and adolescence in Sicily. At 17 years old, not speaking a word of English, she crossed the Atlantic by herself. She decided to be a game-changer and set her sights on America. New York City became her new home, and she worked in sweatshops as a seamstress sewing American flags.  If she didn't have the grit, courage, resilience, determination, and tenacity to write herself a different story, I would not be here today.  In my life, she is the original game-changer.
